About Erin by Design
We’re Erin by Design and we’ve been making creative merchandise and art from our base in Montreal. Here at Erin by Design we believe in communicating creatively, individuality vs a one-size-fit-all formula, and supporting causes personal to us such as LGBTQ pride.
Created by students, we are passionate about always learning and finding new ways to better ourselves. Whether that is on a personal level or on a professional skill building one, we are always excited about keeping our designs fresh and relatable, as well as advanced technically.
Art as a conversation is the main drive behind Erin by Design. This means for us the goal is not to be meaningful to everyone, but to reach everyone our work is relatable to. Opening this online shop front (as of July 2020) is an exciting new venture, and we hope to increase our commissions as well through email request. Some previous commissions have been partnerships with local businesses so we hope to continue those relationships and find new ones soon.
Interested in learning how graphic design worked I originally started Erin by Design as well as selling commissions to simply afford adobe suite. Quickly though I found a drive to learn more about how to make the images in my head a reality as well as the urge to keep learning more has pushed me to create things I never thought possible. Getting to relate to other people through sharing my work has been the most rewarding part, because I believe art is as much about telling the world your story as it is hearing back from the people it touched.
Overall Erin by Design is a small local design business aimed at reaching clientele in the most creative and meaningful ways possible. We have a passion for supporting small business owners like ourselves, especially Queer, Women, an BIPOC owned businesses, because we have a passion for supporting our community.
